Because you don’t need pants to chillax.
When a subject is so completely captivating, much like Asian model Michelle Wang, aka Michelle Superwoman, it doesn’t really matter what she’s doing. She could be lounging around the house doing basically nothing (and wearing basically nothing) and have you totally mesmerized. Shot by photographer Sacha Leyendecker, Michelle is all mellow vibes and laid-back living. Read on to chill out with her.

Hey Michelle, welcome to Foxy Asia Magazine. How’s everything going?
Am doing fantastic! Going to the US for traveling in a few days and am super excited!!!
We were hoping you could start off with telling us a little bit about yourself. What is your ethnicity and where do you live?
I am a pure Asian girl 100% made in China 😉 born and raised there in a normal family, my dad was a chemistry teacher and mom used to work in a metalwork factory.
Growing up I was always a tomboyish girl, quite simple, direct and couldn’t stand any drama. I was not into study but was able to get into one of the top universities in Beijing and got my bachelor’s in accounting there. (I know, boring haha)
At age 22 I moved to Europe to continue my study, speaking French fluently now and doing my master’s in finance at Brussels Management School. And modeling part time 🙂
What do you do to pay the bills? What is your job?
I am a full time master’s student in finance, also account assistant for a Media company, besides that am a freelance/agency-signed model which generates a large part of my income.
I don’t earn a lot but am happy that I can live independently.
So how did you come up with your IG name “michellesuperwoman?”
When I started modeling, I had to pick a nickname, Michelle is already not my real name so I kept that. But I needed a ‘family name’ as just Michelle is too ordinary.
It’s actually super simple, I always wanted to be a strong woman, not depend on anyone, inspire and help others.
Besides that as an Asian living in Europe, I have experienced racism and discrimination. So I feel that I have even more responsibility to represent our ethnicity, but proudly and confidently. So superwoman is my biggest dream and goal, I am not there quite yet but I am working on it and hope I will wear that crown in the near future 🙂
What’s 1 thing you have to have in your refrigerator?
Coconut water, veggies, wine!
If $1,000 magically appeared, what’s the first thing you would buy? Why?
I would give half to charity as I believe in Karma, when I receive I give also.
The other half I will buy a camera as I have always wanted to have my own camera for videos.
Now, can you tell us how you got into modeling? Was it something you always wanted to do?
Actually no at first I hated it, but during my study I met my best friend who was really into posing for photos, she often then dragged me to some kind of photographer/model exchange event and I actually did my first photoshoot there and met a few photographers with whom I collaborated quite often. That’s basically how I started modeling.
Are there any secret beauty products you’d like to share with all the ladies out there?
Well as I said I am pretty boyish, skincare/makeup is not my strength. But I do use olive oil or coconut oil for removing my makeup and as hair conditioner. I know it sounds super basic, but trust me they work!
Where is the “red line” between erotic and vulgar (cheap) on a photo shoot?
Well that’s a difficult one! Personally I believe erotic is expressed by sensual expressions and emotions, and has always to be classy and elegant. And vulgar is when girls are trying to be sexy but ain’t got that energy inside, or over doing it.
What’s the worst thing you ever had happen to you during a shoot?
Actually I didn’t have really bad experience, maybe one guy asked me one time my price for escort, I replied politely that I don’t do that kind of stuff then he apologized. I guess if it’s someone creepy we can all sense it already before, if that’s the case I don’t accept the offer as I don’t want to put myself in danger or bad situation.
What would you say has been your greatest experience as a model?
Humm recently I went to south of France in a luxury chateau of a friend and did some really dope photos with a great team, everyone was so cool and we had a good time there. I guess it’s always a huge pleasure when I get to work with people who have good vibes. I became best friend with the stylist and feel au blessed to have her in my life!
We are a men’s magazine after all, so we’re going to dive into some dating questions. What qualities do you look for in a man? Describe your perfect guy.
Well if I were not married my perfect guy would be Asian mixed or Middle Eastern guy, but always with an open mind and lots of sense of humor. (Super important!) Must be well educated and love traveling, who gives lots of affection but still respects my freedom.
Are you single or taken? If taken, how did you meet?
As I said before I am married 😛 got married last year. 🙂 My husband is a photographer that I met during a photoshoot, we became good friends first but he was secretly in love with me, he actually came all the way to China to see me during the summer vacation when I was there. Then we started to date and 6 minutes later he asked me to marry him. Haha magic happens. (blush)
Tell us about your worst date ever.
My worst date was in Bangkok, I was not dating him, he was just a new friend I met there who helped me out and showed me around. One night we went out to a bar called ‘Very Strong’ and ordered a bucket (yeah like a cocktail in a big bucket and u drink with 5 other people or something haha), we drank 2 of those and I got completely drunk, couldn’t walk and vomited on the street, almost passed out. Was vomiting the next day also in the shower, it was really really really bad. Luckily he was such a kind person who took care of me, otherwise I imagine it could go terribly wrong as someone could kidnap me or worse.
What’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done?
I broke my mom’s favorite dishes and my dad’s music tape, then hid them under our fridge for years, they didn’t find out until we were moving to another apartment. ^^
What separates average sex from great sex?
Great chemistry between 2 people, good preparation, 😛 good communication/match 🙂
