April Iman is so hot that she could make anything look like the best thing ever. We don’t usually think of baggy shirts as sexy, but when the one she’s wearing gets drenched in the shower, she could win a wet T-shirt contest with her eyes closed.
Just when you thought she couldn’t get any sexier, she lifts up her T-shirt, and very lucky for you, she’s got nothing on underneath. It’s pretty fair to say that you’ll probably never get the opportunity to be with April Iman in an intimate setting, so her steamy photo shoot with Tobias Quente is the closest you’ll get to seeing her naked in the shower. Don’t waste a perfectly good opportunity to see her stunning pictorial in this exclusive Model Interview. It’s practically your duty as a man, after all.

What is your ethnicity and where do you live?
I am part Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Arab. At least, that’s the ones that I know. There’s probably more if I go beyond my parents and up higher on the family tree. I was born in Singapore, but I didn’t stay there for very long. My family and I moved out pretty soon afterwards and traveled around the world a lot. I have been living in Tokyo, Japan for eight years now. I came here for my studies, and loved the city so much that I extended my stay.
If someone was visiting Tokyo for the first time, what is something they must do or try before they leave?
Tokyo has some of the best food in the world! I have lived in and visited many cities, but when it comes to food satisfaction, I can say without a doubt Tokyo really delivers! So be sure to try as many different restaurants as you can while you’re here. And I don’t mean just Japanese food either. For example, Tokyo has the best hamburgers in the world! Sounds crazy right? Wait till you try them 😉
Other than that, I would definitely recommend the usual guide-book stuff: the totally insane Scramble Crossing in Shibuya, the otaku town of Akihabara – where you find anime, manga, and maid cafes, and the crazy fashion district Harajuku. Also, the man made island Odaiba, on Tokyo Bay, is especially beautiful at night, when the Rainbow Bridge and buildings light up in all different colors. I would recommend going on one of those dinner cruises in one of the traditional boats; you can get a good meal while enjoying the different sights.
Lastly, I would recommend checking out Kabukicho aka “Sleepless Town”, the biggest red light district in the world. It’s in Shinjuku. It’s a filthy town – in so many meanings of the word – but it definitely has character (haha). There are tons of tourists there too, so you won’t feel out of place.
What do you do to pay the bills? What is your job?
I make my income by doing several different things. I do modeling, TV hosting, and entertainment reporting.
Describe yourself in 3 words or statements.
I’m a happy and cheerful person. I’m always in high spirits and laughing.
I’m optimistic. I’ve always been a ‘glass half full’ person.
I’m fun! Seriously, I’m really fun to have around (wink).
What makes you laugh no matter what?
Is it weird to say that I make myself laugh? (haha) I’m a pretty silly person and I don’t take myself too seriously. I love to joke around and have fun. Other than that, some of my favorite comedians never fail to make me laugh – Ricky Gervais, Louis C.K., Amy Schumer, John Oliver, Kevin Hart… I can watch a good stand-up comedy routine over and over again! Also, my cats always make me laugh. They’re just so silly – like me! 🙂
What’s one goal you want to achieve in your lifetime?
I’ve always wanted to write a novel. Actually, I’ve already started, but god only knows how long it’s going to take me to finish it. I have a bad habit of procrastinating (just one of the bad habits I picked up from college 😉 I have the craziest, weirdest dreams, and I’m using them as an inspiration for my writing.
I’ve always loved reading and writing. Growing up, I spent a lot of time in libraries. Now, I try to set aside at least thirty minutes to an hour every day for reading. I have great stories from my own life experiences, and I would love to create a body of work to leave behind when I’m gone.
Tell us about your job as an entertainment reporter.
I have always loved being in front of the camera, and I love talking, so the logical thing to do would be to combine the two! I cover music events, the hottest parties in town, red carpet events… I interview celebrities, both local and those visiting from Hollywood. Basically I report on anything and everything to do with entertainment world! My shows are aired globally, both on cable TV, and online.
How long have you been modeling and how did you get started?
I got started with beauty pageants in my late teens. Then I got into modeling, but took a break for a few years to concentrate on my studies. But it was hard to stay away, because I kept getting scouted. Basically every time I left the house, some agent would try to get me to join their model or talent agency. So eventually I caved in and came back to the entertainment world. I went back to modeling, and then I started doing entertainment reporting, TV hosting, and emceeing at events and parties. I would love to try some acting in the future too!
What’s the worst thing you ever had happen to you during a shoot?
I had a shoot once that started at midnight, and lasted till eight or so in the morning. That was pretty exhausting, especially since I was in tiny lingerie and sky high heels. There was another shoot where I was modeling a corset and I had that ridiculously tight thing on for eight, maybe ten hours? Obviously I couldn’t eat – that corset wouldn’t allow it! But I also couldn’t breathe. I think my organs suffered from that (haha). But I am happy to say that nothing too disastrous has ever happened on a shoot… yet.
Do you do anything special to prepare for a shoot? We once worked with a model who doesn’t eat for 24 hours before a shoot. We had no clue and we felt awful when we found out because the shoot went on for 4 hours!
Funny! I don’t eat before shoots either. I try not to drink either, because I feel like it makes my stomach bloat. If I’m feeling really weak, I’ll have a sip of water, and a small piece of chocolate – it’s a great source of energy! I also do some light body weight exercises before a shoot; I feel that it makes my muscles look more defined. Also, the day before the shoot, I will go through a beauty routine to make my skin smoother and my hair softer. And of course, I try to get lots of sleep.
Are you single or taken? If taken, how did you meet?
I haven’t been single since I had my first boyfriend. I think that was way back in elementary school (giggles). So yeah, I’m taken. What did you expect? (wink) I met my boyfriend about a year ago. He found me online and asked if he could take my photos. We met for coffee first because I wanted to make sure that he wasn’t a weirdo. That’s when I found out that he’s the nicest, sweetest guy that I have ever met! We became good friends very quickly, and then before you know it, we were totally inseparable 🙂
What do you look for in a guy? What would he have to do to get your attention and to keep you interested?
I like intelligent guys. I like guys who are introverted, but who really open up when we are alone. I like good boys with a dark side to them. I like guys who are well educated, have many interests, and are ambitious.
I’m sure a lot of guys have hit on you, what’s the worst pick up line you’ve ever heard?
Ugh, any guy who tries to pick me up with a pick up line is automatically rejected. And if you want to see the obnoxious and sometimes downright offensive things I have to go through on a daily basis, just look at my Instagram page, where there is no shortage of such comments.
What’s the furthest a guy has ever gone to impress you?
I won’t lie. Guys try to impress me all the time. The only problem is, it usually doesn’t work. I especially hate it when a guy thinks he can just “buy” me with a fancy car, a ritzy dinner, gifts, a trip on a yacht or a private jet, a luxurious vacation, you name it. All the money in the world means nothing if there is no heart, or chemistry.
If you could only wear yoga pants or short skirts for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Short skirts all the way! This is such a non-question. I even wear short skirts and dresses in the winter, usually with knee high boots. I’m a girly girl, and I love to act and dress femininely!
Well April Iman, thank you so much. We do appreciate your time. Before we let you go can you tell our readers where they can find you if they’d like to learn more?
